Google Business Profile Optimization and Management for Contractors
For most home service businesses, your Google Business Profile is the first thing a new customer sees. It shows up on Google Maps, in local results and next to your reviews, often before anyone visits your website. I set it up properly, then keep it active every month.

Why your profile matters so much
When someone searches “plumber near me” or “AC repair” on their phone, Google usually shows a map with a short list of businesses. Each one is a Google Business Profile. Customers compare photos, reviews and details, then tap to call.
If your profile is incomplete, outdated or quiet, it’s easy for customers to pick someone else, and it gives Google less reason to show you in the first place.
Your Company Name
Common problems I fix
The wrong primary category
It’s one of the strongest signals Google uses to decide which searches you appear for, and it’s often set to something too broad.
Missing services and service areas
Google can’t show you for a service it doesn’t know you offer.
Old or missing photos
A profile with a few blurry photos from years ago looks inactive.
Unanswered reviews
Customers read your replies as much as the reviews themselves.
No recent activity
A profile that hasn’t been touched in months looks like a business that might not answer the phone.
Inconsistent details
A name, phone number or hours that differ from your website and other listings confuse Google and customers alike.

Google Business Profile FAQ
How do you optimize a Google Business Profile?
It starts with a full review: primary and secondary categories, every service and service area listed, a rewritten business description, hours and attributes checked, and photos reviewed and refreshed. I also make sure your name, phone number and website link match your other listings exactly. That’s the one-time $350 optimization; ongoing management ($300/month) keeps it active afterward with posts, photos, review replies and Q&A monitoring.
Do I need a storefront or public address to have a profile?
No. Most HVAC, plumbing and roofing companies are service-area businesses. You can list the areas you serve and hide your address, as long as you follow Google’s guidelines.
Can you verify my profile for me?
Verification has to be completed by the business owner, often by video or with a code from Google. I’ll walk you through it and make sure everything is ready before you start.
Will optimizing my profile get me into the top 3 on Google Maps?
It can help a lot, especially if your profile has obvious gaps. But Google also weighs your distance from the searcher, your reviews and your wider online presence. No one can promise a top-3 spot. That’s why Local SEO + AI Search plans cover the rest.
Do you write fake reviews or buy reviews?
Never. Fake reviews break Google’s policies and can get a profile suspended. Advanced and Premium plans include a review-request system that makes it easier for real customers to leave reviews.
What happens to my profile if we stop working together?
Nothing changes. You’re the owner the whole time. I’m added as a manager, and you can remove me anytime.
I have more than one location. Can you manage all of them?
Yes. Each additional profile is $350 to set up and $300 per month to manage.
